Welcome to my small corner of the internet where I post my thoughts on movies. I'm a cat dad, husband, and former film buff
These are my takes on movies, no studio pressure, no algorithm.
I've seen almost every movie that came out between 2009-2015 when I used to work at a movie theater.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026)
★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ (5/10)
Has some really interesting plot points that I want to learn more about and see how it culminates. Ralph Fiennes keeps this film standing on it's own legs. However, I feel that this 3-film franchise could've been condensed down to 1 really bad ass flick. Right now, there's so much room for the story to breathe, which is okay... But albeit somewhat boring. There are plot points from the first film that do not get addressed whatsoever with this installment. Saving that part for the ending I presume. Did not care for the Jimmie's plot line. Feels like filler. It's complicated, but I felt this way for the first film as well, I liked everything about it. But I am not liking this "tune in next time" type of story telling in movies. If you're going to do a trilogy, each movie should be able to stand on it's own. There's enough really enticing breadcrumbs littered throughout this movie and the first that do keep you wanting to see this to the end. So I'll plan on being in the theater for the next entry.
Weapons (2025)
★★★★★★★★★☆(9/10)
Zach Cregger is killing it as a director. (No pun intended). He's truly bringing some fun and original ideas to the screen, and even more impressive, audiences are widely receptive to them. You never guess where the story is going, you're just waiting for it to make sense. You care, you laugh, you're confused, you're enthralled. Keep giving him money to mak whatever he wants.
28 Years Later (2025)
★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ (4/10)
Sets up a fairly interesting world taking place 28 years after the rage virus consumed the world. Ralph Fiennes steals the show. But you're still not sure whether you trust him or not. I like the concept of the "Alpha's". The main characters have an interesting dynamic, but that doesn't last long as they are quickly split up. It does feel cheap at times, the infected are naked at this point, which makes sense considering the time that has passed. However, I feel like you see the same handful of actors playing the infected despite being killed once or twice already. Has enough substance to make you want to come back for the sequel. The disappointing part is that by the end, it only feels only partially complete and that's just upsetting.
